about us

DSC_0752Richard Neher’s lab

We are a computational biology/biophysics lab at the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology in Tuebingen, Germany. We are interested in molecular evolution of rapidly adapting organisms and do research in the following areas:

  1. HIV evolution and HIV/immune system interactions
  2. Tracking and predicting influenza virus evolution
  3. Genomics and evolution of bacterial drug resistance
  4. theoretical populations genetics and methods development (What can we learn from sequence data?)

You can find our more about our past and present research on the publications and research pages.
